The Vision & Leadership Award recognizes game changers who have shown excellence in integrating people, processes and technologies across the entire marketing organization to increase the effectiveness of marketing efforts, improve internal efficiency, and drive marketing return on investment.

Rivera Group, contracting for the United States Army Marketing and Research Group, developed a centralized platform to support recruiting of in-service individuals qualified for specialized and elite military occupational specialties and streamlined operations, saving the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion thousands of man-hours each year and achieving desired levels of efficiency. The organization’s leadership now has the capability to track ROI real time.

Our Leadership Team

Rivera Group - Joey Rivera

Dr. Joey Rivera | CEO

Dr. Rivera has over 25 years’ experience providing leadership within the software engineering domain. He holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and has over 33 years’ military service, ranging from a Private in the U.S. Marine Corps to an Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel. He is currently assigned to the U.S. Army’s Military Academy, West Point, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with specific expertise in Cyber warfare. In addition to his current role as CEO, Dr. Rivera also leads our Innovation team and serves on the Board of Directors for the IN/KY Paralyzed Veterans of America and Indiana University Southeast’s School of Business. Dr. Rivera is a proud member of Endeavor Global and has a passion for helping entrepreneurs.

Perrish Dailey

Perrish Dailey | President & COO

As President and Chief Operations Officer at Rivera Group, Perrish Dailey is responsible for all operations for the company. He brings more than 25 years’ experience to Rivera Group. His leadership and experience have been focused on developing and delivering technology solutions and business services, providing outstanding customer service, and driving profitable revenue growth.

Prior to joining Rivera Group, Perrish was a Global Director for Dell Services, where he led a global team delivering best in class healthcare IT services nationally. He was responsible for several key healthcare and innovation customers delivering continuous growth.

In addition to over eight years at Dell Services, Perrish founded and exited three successful IT companies that provided state-of-the-art services across healthcare, banking, and insurance. Perrish’s strategic expertise and guidance exponentially increased profitability for all three companies.

Perrish holds degrees in Business, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. He also attended and received professional certificates from Harvard Business School.

Troy Thompson

Troy Thompson | CFO

Troy has over 23 years of accounting, finance and business administration experience supporting a variety of small to large-sized businesses. He has spent the last 13 years working for companies that directly support the DOD, DHS, HHS and other various federal government agencies and programs. His vast knowledge of federal contract accounting, administration and operations support Rivera Group by maintaining strict controls and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. Troy’s background also includes 7 years audit experience with the ‘Big 4’ accounting firm of KPMG in Louisville, KY, where he served a variety of businesses in manufacturing and other service sectors. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a practicing CPA in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Troy is a proud veteran of the US Army Infantry. He manages all aspects of Rivera Group’s Finance organization.

Mike Lun

Mike Lun | Sr. VP Business Development

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in Business Development and Professional Services Sales and Delivery. Prior to joining Rivera Group, Mike served as Senior Vice President at Merlin International, where he managed business development, capture, proposal development, and pricing, as well as Merlin’s Professional Services Division. He earned a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from American University in Washington, D.C., as well as certifications from the Wharton School of Finance. Mike manages the identification and capture of new business for Rivera Group.

Pat Daniel

Pat Daniel | Vice President, Cyber Mission Solutions

Pat has over 20 years’ experience as a Cyberspace Operations Officer in the United States Air Force serving in a variety of positions, including commanding a Communications Squadron overseas and combat service in Iraq.  Since retirement in 2016, he has gained experience in the private sector managing a variety of technical and cyber support contracts for the Department of Defense. He currently leads Rivera Group’s support of National Labs and research and development organizations, as well as the company’s other cyber-focused contracts.  Pat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Touro University, and a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science from the USAF Air Command and Staff College, Air University.

Monica Kidwell

Monica Kidwell | Human Resources Director

Monica has over 20 years of human capital management experience supporting operational, functional and corporate employees.  She is recognized for aligning HR strategies to business vision and bringing collaboration mentality to achieve results.  Her certifications include PHR and SHRM-CP and she earned her Business Management degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  She leads all aspects of Rivera Group’s human resources function.

Mike Bass | Director of Logistics/PM HSIB

Mike has over 35 years’ experience as an Army logistician, ranging from the Company through Theater levels. Since retirement in 2001, he has served as a defense contractor with the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM), supporting the logistics Concepts and Development process. He’s also served in area/program management and program management and acquisition management support while supporting the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information System (PEO EIS) and Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP). Mike earned a BS in Accounting from St. Augustine’s University and a Masters in General Administration from Central Michigan University. He also earned a graduate certificate from the Army Logistics Management College’s Logistics Executive Development Course (LEDC). Mike is a certified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute.

Georgette Jacobs

Georgette Jacobs | Director of Client Engagement

Georgette has over 15 years’ product management experience across many industries.  She has proven success in driving products from inception through customer implementation. She is often the voice in EAGLE6 product demonstrations and excels at solving complex customer problems through software feature development. Georgette leads all aspects of Rivera Group’s customer success processes, and she is a member of our leadership team to our business analysts and product designers. She studied business administration and holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification through Scrum.org.
